FR Review:
Judy Kastin's calligraphy skills aren't limited to the paper medium alone--a skilled engraver, she can etch loop-di-loops and curlicues in glass and metal too. This makes Kastin popular during the holidays, when department stores ask her to set up shop engraving perfume bottles of all shapes and sizes, as she did this Mother's Day at Macy's. Kastin has worked in calligraphy for over 25 years, accumulating numerous corporate clients along the way, but she is always happy to take on last-minute work when her schedule allows. Recently, a frazzled bride called her to emergency address 50 wedding invitations, which Kastin completed the same day. Style wise, Kastin does a lot in formal italic, monoline italic, copperplate and monoline cursive, and she is one of the few calligraphers to offer brush lettering as well. Her prices are recommended as "reasonable," typically coming in at between $1.25 and $2.50 per line.
Representative Client Comments:
"Quality work." "Judy is firmly entrenched in NYC's calligraphy circles." "Very sweet woman and easy to work with."
