FR Review:
Praised by references as a “sure bet” for high-end jobs, Interstate Air is a cut above the average Manhattan HVAC firm. Formed in 2002 by pros whose experience goes back to the 70s, this midsized firm of 50 fields eighteen trucks dedicated almost solely to residential work in Manhattan. Like many companies, it splits its time equally between service calls and new installation. The differentiating factor, sources say, is Interstate’s extremely high level of professionalism. Rather than finishing a job and hightailing it out of the building, Interstate is known to double-, triple-, quadruple-check everything they do, allowing them to provide airtight warranties. The staff is also praised as knowledgeable and professional: Interstate’s techs come to jobsites armed with tablet computers, so that clients tend to feel like they’re having a business meeting, not an air conditioning consultation. Unsurprisingly, this isn’t the cheapest company in the city, but their “Eight to Eight” policy (meaning that the firm won’t charge overtime if the work occurs between 8AM and 8PM—which is later than most service companies) ensures that all charges are reasonable. Interstate is also praised for taking on small jobs. Overall, for cutting edge technology (many of their new systems can be controlled remotely) and professionalism on high-end residential work, Interstate earns high marks.
Representative Client Comments:
“Very high tech—these guys knew what they were doing.” “You can call them for anything, big or small and they’ll put a lot of effort into it.”
