FR Review:
In business since 1919, we hear this 35-person firm performs “textbook” electrical work for some of the pickiest locations (fancy hotels, commercial buildings, Park Avenue residences) in the city. It’s true that Barth-Gross concentrates on commercial assignments, but this firm will still take on large top-tier residential projects–just don’t call them to change a lightbulb. Endorsed by Lutron for installation, Barth-Gross often gets the first call for complex projects that require sophisticated engineering and coordination.
Owner Roy Barth is an electrical engineer himself, and since he’s always involved at the outset of each job, clients report that the estimate is always accurate and expert. We hear that any changes in cost, a rarity, are communicated to the client immediately. Barth is widely respected and liked in the industry, not only for the depth of his knowledge and character but for his hands-on involvement. While no one hedges around the fact that this firm is expensive, they all say the cost is warranted.
Representative Client Comments:
“One of the best in the business.” “There was never a person from this company that wasn’t good. And that’s pretty much because of Roy. I can’t think of a better man.” “Perfect work, but expensive.”
