Rich, earth hues transform a once dark master bath into a perfect retreat for two. Designers Elizabeta Skorucak and Christopher J. Grubb selected warm beige travertine as a foundation. The oversized steam shower contains dual showerheads and a rare granite custom bench. The mosaic inset in the shower, resembling more an art piece, is made up of crushed contemporary glass tile with Old World influenced decorative liners. It is breathtaking upon entering the bath. A dark wood vanity and English bronze finishes on plumbing fixtures rounds out the gorgeous details in this tranquil escape. For the well-traveled man working in the world’s investment market, this study provides the ultimate in luxury that works. Designers Jennifer Culp and Christopher J. Grubb capture an instant global feeling by adorning the ceiling with a six-foot diameter hand carved compass-like medallion. Six nine-foot tall glass columns framed in wood are lit from within. Each column features etched representations of international cities. From Venetian plaster walls to an upholstered reading alcove with soft throw pillows, one immediately gets the sense that one has entered an inviting and relaxing retreat.

This well appointed home is a visual splendor for the eyes. High ceilings, a spectacular crystal chandelier, antique tapestries, custom silk draperies, refined accessories and art from around the world make this living room reminiscent of a European Chateau. Designer Jennifer Culp used one-of-a-kind sconces, gorgeous oversized sofas, a grand antiqued mirror and 10’ tall custom topiaries to frame the handsome hearth of this elegant home. This is the perfect destination for receiving and entertaining guests.
