Often working from a strong point of historical reference, Cannon finds the perfect way to frame the all-important qualities of air and light that are the “bones” of every great space. He may layer antiques or clever furnishings together with new colors, his own custom designs or inventive fixtures. His work allows and promotes gracious living, even as lifestyles are less formal, more mobile and intensely active.
Cannon Frank enjoys deep, thoughtful relationships with architects, contractors, vendors, artisans and fabricators, as well as with clients. The firm and its relationships have thrived based on respect, professionalism and genuine affection – a proud legacy they embrace and will build upon for many years to come.
Currently, the firm is working on several large projects -- most notably, a 28,000 square foot French Chateau in the Chicago suburbs and a second home for clients in Ghana, Africa, which will be used for entertaining dignitaries. Cannon Frank recently worked with architect Marvin Herman on a 13,000 square foot triplex apartment on North Astor Street in Chicago, which is filled with Venetian Art Deco antiques, as well as many furnishings designed by Frank Pollaro.
