We are a small firm of two founded in 1990 that pays great attention to every step of the design and construction process. We work collaboratively with our clients to create a new home that suits their needs and budget. We have an extensive knowledge of design, historical precedent, building construction and technology, and a commitment to environmental sustainability.

Our work is a balance of modern and traditional, new homes and remodeling, high-end and modest. We have recently completed a very contemporary and sustainability-oriented home for an artist-chef couple and their young son on a very small lot and a limited budget. Other recent projects include the complete restoration and significant additions to historic homes by John Byers and Paul Williams, as well as numerous other additions to and remodels of homes of various styles.
Our work has been featured in House Beautiful, Los Angeles Magazine, Traditional Home, This Old House, American Bungalow, Real Homes, Essential Bedroom Bath and Kitchen, 25 Beautiful Homes, and the books Modern Glamour by Kelly Wearstler and New Rooms for Old Houses by Frank Shirley.
