From packing and moving priceless antiques to delicate computer systems, Katalan and his team have been praised by customers from Los Angeles to San Francisco and every location in between. Giving the team great marks in every category from professionalism to compassion, NorthStar's clients refer the company to friends and colleagues often. The firm serves a heavy celebrity clientele (Angelina Jolie, Kristy Swanson, Diane Keaton, Anthony Hopkins) as well as a healthy roster of production companies and television networks.
Owner and founder Ram Katalan supervises 40 trucks and over 200 employees who specialize in local, intrastate, cross-country and international moves.
NorthStar offers packing and storage services for household furnishings, as well as for fine art and antiques. The firm has a 100,000 square foot storage facility in Chatsworth and a 25,000 square foot branch in San Francisco. Local moves are priced by the hour, with a two-hour minimum, while prices for cross-country, intrastate and international moves are determined by weight (1,000-pound minimum). For those lucky enough to call both coasts home, NorthStar is the exclusive West Coast agent for Moishe's, located in New York City.
