FR Review:
Jeff Andrews' designs in a nutshell: Old Hollywood glamour and taste meets New Hollywood innovation and livability. This original designer finds ways to make each project unique, giving his clients the luxury of a home that is theirs and only theirs. Not cookie-cutter in the least, Andrews is equally stirred by the challenge of executing a hacienda-inspired Old Spanish style home as he is at the prospect of an ultra-contemporary, sleek monochromatic loft. The constant is quality (clients are usually looking for the best of the best, not to save a bundle) and comfort (young families are drawn to Andrews' ability to create a home that is both chic and kid-friendly). Impressively, for a designer who specializes in variety and bold gestures, Andrews doesn't seem to "miss": even his more outre choices end up feeling tasteful.
A Southern California native, Andrews' started his firm in 1996 after doing select projects for friends. Forgoing the usual apprenticeship for another designer, Andrews is self-taught; references praise his independent spirit, charmingly cheeky sense of humor, and can-do mentality. Fielding a small staff, he focuses on projects in the LA County area, mostly doing whole homes with a few one-room jobs on a case-by-case basis. Andrews' clientele includes a roster of entertainment personalities including Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, Kris Jenner, Michael C. Hall and Ryan Seacrest. His prices, charged hourly and with a standard markup on product, are in line with other designers of a similar caliber. Clients are usually happy to pay the price, saying that Andrews listens well, and masterfully transforms their whims into a creative, comfortable home.
