FR Review:
With caring, focus and soul Katie Leede has designed homes from Brentwood to Maine to New York. Intimately involved in the process, she works very collaboratively with the client, creating a rich, understated panorama that "not everyone would get." There are layers of thought and personal details, highlighted by antique rugs and textiles. Traditional homes get a modern edge and modern homes get a softened patina.
Leede was raised in Midland, Texas, graduated from Andover and was a theater arts major at Dartmouth. She became an equity actor in New York, joining a respected repertory company doing off-Broadway and then moved to LA to pursue acting. Leede was pulled into the design business by a friend who asked for help on her Bel Air home. Others soon caught on, and Leede has been quite busy since 2002. There is a small but highly effective back office.
Budgets tend to evolve, with clients reporting that Leede is very clear about costs and offers lots of choices. There is a flat design fee per room and a lower-than-standard fee on product. Clients describe the process as a "delightful design journey" and highly recommend Leede.
