Famed for its flawless Brazilian, Rosangela Spa offers optimal service sans frills. Regulars flock to the modest space where the wax is a homemade Brazilian formula with natural anesthetic qualities and anti-oxidants that creates a reduced-pain treatment. Unlike other spas that rush clients in and out, treatments at Rosangela's are unhurried. Aestheticians are perfectionists and will keep you on the table until they create a flawlessly shaped (or bare) bikini zone.
Rosangela mastered her craft in Rio De Janeiro, where she spent 20 years working as an aesthetician. In 2006 she arrived in New York and opened Rosangela Spa. Today, a handful of aestheticians work at her small and understated Upper East Side space. When she isn’t treating clients, Rosangela can regularly be found chatting with the women who pop in and out from open to close. Prices are standard: a traditional bikini wax is $40, while a Brazilian is $60-$70. Other services offered include facials, nail treatments, massage, body wraps, and spray tanning. Unlike competition, Rosangela Spa does not rely on an elaborate setting or overly fussy service to draw clients. Exceptional hair removal and skin treatments are the main attraction.
