FR Review:
Lang Architecture receives rave reviews from clients not only for its ability to bring a modern sensibility to traditional spaces, but also for its conscientious devotion to client happiness. Though stylistically clean and modern, Drew Lang, the principal of Lang Architecture, appreciates and treasures the historic elements in buildings. As he says, he “takes cues from history,” and it is this layering of historic with modern elements that distinguishes Lang Architecture.
Drew Lang holds a degree in architecture from Yale University, where he studied under Steven Harris (who gave Lang his first job). Lang Architecture does mostly residential renovations in Manhattan and Brooklyn. However, the company also does development work in New Orleans (Lang’s hometown) and the Hudson River Valley. Lang Architecture does not handle the construction management portion of projects, but we hear that the firm is more than willing to point clients towards recommended contractors. The firm has a staff of eight (including Lang) and charges an average percentage of construction costs, though they'll sometimes work hourly or for a fixed fee.
