A trusted name in the business, Rug Renovating has been satisfying clients in the Tri-State area since its establishment in 1896 (yes, 1896). Four generations later, this family business is now helmed by Paul Iskyan, who ensures that the level of excellence his great-great grandfather mandated is still maintained. From wall-to-wall broadlooms to the finest antique area rugs to delicate wall fabrics, Rug Renovating “can clean them all.” The company can clean on site or in their 70,000-square-foot plant.
A mainstay in the Rolodexes of some of the most prominent interior designers, rug dealers and celebrity homeowners, the fi rm has a team of twelve technicians who are all IICRC-certified. Three of these are considered Master Technicians. Sources tell us the fi rm is also “superb” at doing repairs, from minor stitching and reweaving to binding and refringing. Pricing is by the square foot, with minimums for rug cleaning starting at $75.
