 Clients appreciate the outlook at London Bridges–they say that the firm’s designers have a keen understanding of Manhattan family life and a realistic view on budget. Heather Harper and Jenny Elmlinger, sisters with an eye for timeless designs and excellent details, run the firm. Supporters tell us that they work effectively and efficiently to achieve each client’s vision, be it traditional English with a twist or stark white modern, all in appropriate good taste.

Many clients are Park Avenue families signing up their first “real” decorator. Clients report that one of the firm’s great strengths is an understanding of family traffic patterns and interests. The team will undertake a wide variety of projects, from home “facelifts” to gut renovations. While scheduling is usually not an issue, these partners are moms whose first priorities are their kids, according to clients.

London Bridges charges a low design fee and a very reasonable markup on product. Oversight fees or consultations are billed at reasonable rates. Living rooms fall in the $75,000 range. The firm taps only the best suppliers and has great industry relationships. This team can also work on a phased approach or a consulting basis. Clients say they feel no pressure to purchase items they do not love. Harper and Elmlinger are reportedly extremely professional, and many repeat customers highly recommend them.

Project Description & Comments:
The monetary range I listed was for the ENTIRE project including my contractor. The project was the renovation of two bathrooms in my NYC co-op. London Bridges provided the interior design and decoration. I worked with Jenny Elmlinger, in particular, and my entire experience with her for this project was wonderful. Jenny, while being the consummate professional, was at the same time warm, caring and a true delight to to have helping me navigate the "design/decorating waters" of NYC! Jenny articulated all policies connected with London Bridges from the start. I was made to feel comfortable in reviewing all the terms, asking any questions of areas that were a concern to me and she went over all details whenever I requested her to do so. I found her to have a wonderful sense of taste and style, always respectful of my opinions, taste, etc., eager to discuss her choices and reasons behind her selections and available with suggestions and advice when ever I would need or want. Jenny was always punctual for meetings, returning all calls and e-mail in a timely manner. She was very knowledgeable as to all the possibilities for showrooms, vendors, etc. pertaining to my particular project. She always established good rapport with the various people we dealt with, was clear in stating our ideas and desires and kept the process moving right along, which pleased me immensely. Jenny was great from start to finish and made certain that there were no "loose ends" that were not addressed. She was always certain to follow up on all matters, be they minor or of paramount importance. London Bridges, and Jenny Elmlinger, in particular, made the entire renovation project a most enjoyable and terrific learning experience for myself. My contractor was also very complimentary about the experience of working with Jenny.
