FR Review:
Considered a leader, Duce Construction “prevails” when matching existing antique materials with Old-World craftsmanship. The firm performs pricey residen- tial rehabs, ground-up construction and expansions in New York City, Westchester, Connecticut and the Hamptons, as well as soup-to-nuts design/build services. Clients are “impressed from the start” with this contractor’s troubleshooting and cost-taming abilities. Furthermore, the introduction of Duce Property Maintenance Management (“Duce PMM”) as projects near their completion offers clients the security of ongoing services beyond the final walk through.
Principal Rory McCreesh hails from the Emerald Isle and started the firm in 1990. He “lavishes generous attention” on each project and works hard to get to know the client and the home. We’re told that his large group of skilled and dili- gent staff and subcontractors also delight. Sources say that the firm turns around a “bid that is by far the most detailed” they have seen. Kitchen and bathroom remodels generally price out at $200,000, with the average budget for gut renova- tions ranging from $500,000 to over $2 million.
Representative Client Comments:
“Highly recommended–superb staff.” “Courteous, first-class work from start to (ahead of schedule) finish.” “Worked for us previously on townhouse renovation–did an amazing job.” “Lighting work was very difficult, and they were meticulous so as to avoid damaging work of great delicacy.” “Duce truly cares about and takes pride in the quality of its work. Rory McCreesh is top-rate.” “The effort he puts into doing the littlest thing is incredible.” “Before Rory even had the job he came in with an armada of all the trades. We met everyone and heard what they had to offer. No one knew our 1928 stone Tudor better. Including us!” “We are almost one year post construction, and they are terrific about coming back to fix minor (and I mean minor) issues shortly after I call them.”
