Services & Specialties
Well-managed renovations and kitchen and bath design

FR Review:
A “quite proficient” contracting company, Designer’s Home Improvement combines “exemplary” building know-how with “excellent design and color sense.” This small firm renovates kitchens, baths and entire apartments in Manhattan and the Hamptons with courteous crews who stay on the job until the client is satisfied.

Since founding the company in 1993, principal Charles Guarino has been per- sonally supervising from concept through completion. Guarino is known to be smart, patient and capable of “managing complexity extremely well.” Moreover, Guarino’s “creative and pragmatic ideas” are often tapped for kitchen and bath designs. Clients say that the firm of twenty delivers a unique job on time and on budget, with very good quality. Soup-to-nuts assignments are taken at one time with budgets of $100,000 to $500,000.

Representative Client Comments:
“Charles is an excellent contractor. He always sought out good solutions.” “If I ever have any work, there will only be one name on the list, Charles Guarino.” “What impressed me the most was anything that popped up, these guys took care of in orderly fashion.” “Charles is very hard working and always responsive when problems arise.” “He is orga- nized, says what he is going to do exactly and executes the plan. He has saved me several times because of the inadequacies of my designer.” “ Charles will not begin a project until the crew slated for your job has completed their previous task. Therefore, you never have to worry about having half a crew to complete your job!”
