Matt Plaskoff's star soared when he was tapped to become lead Construction Consultant on ABC's Extreme Makeover Home Edition (2004). The appointment stirred up a flurry of media attention, including a cover story on his company, Plaskoff Construction, in Remodeling Magazine. It turns out Plaskoff's reality TV fame has a basis in reality: his consummate professionalism and indefatigable energy. His firm specializes in residential renovations, remodeling and custom homes and estates. Projects range from $200,000 to over $10 million. The majority of Plaskoff's work occurs on the west side of LA, from the San Fernando Valley to Pacific Palisades.
Plaskoff put himself through college doing finish carpentry and electrical work and, after working for another GC, realized the need for a company to provide executive-level service. A phase I design fee is based on estimated budget and phase II construction contracts are fixed price. hile Plaskoff isn't inexpensive, the firm charges standard rates for the upscale market, and will design to budget.
