FR Review:
When Beverly Hills Transfer & Storage built its first office on Beverly Drive in 1935, its six-story building was considered a skyscraper. Times have changed, and so has the company, which now has offices in the San Fernando Valley, downtown Los Angeles, Sacramento, Manville, and Beverly Hills, in addition to the corporate headquarters in Gardena. The firm also has a dispatch office in Hartford, Connecticut. One thing is the same: the firm's reputation for outstanding, careful service.
Beverly Hills Transfer was established in 1928 by Fred Mason and is now helmed by Frank Rolapp, whose father joined Mason as partner in 1942. Rolapp, who bought the company nine years ago, now spearheads 130 trucks and 350 employees. The company is known as a highly skilled and large mover for commercial and residential clients. Some sources say they've used Beverly Hills Transfer & Storage for generations, getting referrals from their parents, and passing the company's name on to their children.
Insiders say Beverly Hills Transfer & Storage caters to each individual client. At the time of initial contact a customer is matched to an account coordinator. This "moving buddy" is available to the customer every step of the way, which, we're told, makes things a little easier when preparing for moving day. Pricing for local shipping is by the hour, long distance is by the pound and international shipping is per cubic foot. Projects range from $400 to $1 million. Clients tell us their possessions were handled by the staff as if they were their own, and that prices are reasonable for the high quality of work.
Representative Client Comments:
"Efficient and great turnaround." "Frank is friendly, laid-back and extremely professional." "Workers are respectful and punctual." "Great sales team." "Can get pretty busy but they will return phone calls the next day."
