Insiders call partners Bernard Zimring and Eloy Sherlock "sincere and honest guys" whose pools are some of the finest in Los Angeles. Since 2000, Zimring and Sherlock have been leading their own team of four in the design and construction of about 100 pools per year. Sources say Avanti Pools works closely with landscape designers and architects, creating pools that perfectly fit clients' needs. The firm offers special design features such as waterfalls, fiberoptic lighting, colored plaster, automatic covers, solar heaters, infinity and parameter overflow pools, non-chlorine pools, and self-cleaning and sanitizing pools.
Zimring learned the pool construction business from his parents, who started their company in 1963; Sherlock has been in the industry since 1978. All that experience translates into very high quality, but clients say Avanti's prices are relatively low, with pools starting around $40,000 and a structural warranty for as long as the customer owns the pool. The company is a member of the National Spa and Pool Institute (NSPI).
