FR Review:
Louis Bourassa puts "a little bit of himself" into each job, and that attribute is said to account for the Boston-bred contractor's meteoric rise in the Los Angeles residential market. Details that might escape another contractor--like lead tracking or consistent accurate budgeting--are tightly controlled under Bourassa's watchful eye. Reportedly, his on-site presence is key to his style of management. Clients say he sees "the big picture, not just the quality of the sub-floor," showing as much integrity in his product as in his relations with the client. Bourassa's small firm focuses on full-on renovations of the entire house from over $150,000 to into the multimillions. Bourassa's New England heritage informs his expert traditional work, however recently the firm has successfully taken on clean, modern designs.

Bourassa hails from a family of builders. After getting a degree in English and economics, he passed over the professional route, taking an opportunity to work as a union carpenter. Soon after, he started his own general contacting company and cut his high-end teeth renovating the Boston Four Seasons into a five-star hotel. He moved to LA in 1995 and has built his stellar reputation on enthusiasm and effort. We hear Bourassa "enjoys what he does" as much as clients enjoy him. In particular, nervous first-time renovators find Bourassa "approachable" and "not patronizing." For movie people used to fast-track schedules, we hear LLB keeps things moving at a breakneck pace.

Bourassa nails down costs in the early planning phases, so contracts are fixed. Pre-construction services bill out hourly (at $150) for analysis of design and budget. At prices that are slightly above standard, satisfied clients say, "Look no further."

Representative Client Comments:
"I liked him right away. You could tell he was the same with everybody." "He returns my phone calls. He doesn't stress too hard. He's the whole package." "I like that he's a little younger. Older contractors were inflexible, but Louis was open-minded. I'd recommend him to anybody." "Above and beyond expectations." "I could ask for something and the next day it was turned around." "You've got to enjoy the people you'e working with. These jobs take so long. And we were absolutely thrilled with Louis."
