FR Review:
Founded in 1982 by Virginia-transplant James Barry, Aloha employs a tight-knit staff of 25 that sources often describe as a "family." Indeed, there are several father-son teams at the company, and the average tech has been with the firm for upwards of a decade. The result of this arrangement is a knowledgeable group of people with a straightforward and easygoing dynamic. Playing to that strength, the firm is phasing out new construction projects, preferring to focus on service and retrofits and working directly with clients.
Aloha trucks can be found in Broward, Palm Beach, and Dade Counties, with same day service for emergencies. Aiming to give their clients reliable, uninterrupted performance, Barry and Co. generally avoid newborn technology, preferring to focus on tried-and-true parts and methods (even if it means forgoing that combination AC/MP3 player you had your eye on). Sources, however, are quick to commend the firm's technical expertise, pointing out a number of unique tactics Aloha has developed over the years to combat Florida's corrosive weather (beachfront properties are a specialty of the firm). Barry's clients tend to recognize that good service comes with a price: Aloha is not the cheapest firm out there. Nor is it the choice for large new construction projects. However, those with a desire for reliable, prompt, friendly service keep saying "Aloha" to this company.
Representative Client Comments:
"I've called late in the evening, and there's always someone answering the phones." "Friendly, reliable guys, like they're your neighbors. You don't expect that from an HVAC company." "They're expensive but they deliver."
