FR Review:
New Yorker Anthony Iannone has been in the flooring business for seventeen years, learning the trade from his brother. After moving to Florida, he established Gold Coast Hardwood Flooring in 1996 and since then has established a solid following in the area. Sources say Iannone is "hands-on" in every sense of the word, and that he actually "knows how to lay down a floor." Gold Coast's high-end clients tell us Iannone does the majority of the work himself, bringing a small but trusted crew onsite.

The firm specializes in installing, sanding, finishing, staining, and repairing hardwood floors only. It is also known for its expert installation of custom borders, inlays and medallions. The company's traditional designs are in demand by clients who also rave about the embedded wood floors and herringbones they produce. Gold Coast works with architects, interior designers, contractors and homeowners. The five-man firm does work in Palm Beach, Boca Raton, Miami and Jupiter Island. Unlike most of their brethren in the hardwood flooring business, Iannone and his team are receptive to doing commercial work and have laid down floors in restaurants like Morton's Of Chicago (West Palm Beach) and Taboos. Their work can also be seen in some rooms of The Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach.

Pricing is per project with installations starting at a very reasonable $1,000 and going up to $100,000. Sanding and finishing ranges from $500 to $50,000. Clients delight in the "old-school method" that the firm employs, with Iannone himself doing most of the handscraping. Gold Coast Hardwood is a member of the Better Business Bureau.

Representative Client Comments:
"All work is done with honor." "The firm is very small and during busy seasons, it is hard to book them." "Will do small projects with the same integrity as a big one."
