Lindstrom Air is one of those rare firms that wins praise from both clients and the competition. Founded in 1975, it has grown steadily, sources say, without losing focus on good business practices and personalized attention to jobs. Lindstrom does take on commercial work, but its bread and butter is residential, and the company offers a full range of services (repairs, yearly maintenance, duct cleaning, air purification, etc.) to homeowners. In addition to work for individual clients, the firm has a long history of good experiences with contractors and developers. References say this has honed their ability to tackle ground-up projects efficiently. Indeed, when top homebuilders think “new construction," Lindstrom is often the first name on their list.
With staff of 100, a facility in Coconut Creek and another in Port St. Lucie, Lindstrom offers normal service from seven in the morning to seven at night, though emergency problems are tackled 24/7. Sources say the firm gives preference to existing clients, especially those with systems that Lindstrom itself has installed. Still, people who call Lindstrom out of the blue tend to be as satisfied as long-term customers. Prices are commensurate with quality (read: not low). But references say that Lindstrom technicians, many of whom have been with the company for decades, offer a sense of certainty and comfort that’s worth paying for. Especially in the middle of August.
