Reef Radio's name is no euphemism: for the past twenty years it has been the only major AV and integration firm on the Keys. Not content to coast on its geographic advantage, the firm regularly impresses clients and competitors alike with its sophisticated home theater environments. Founded and currently helmed by two local techies (who are Ocean Reef residents themselves), Reef Radio was one of the first firms in Southern Florida to design and install the sort of plush home theater rooms that are now de rigueur for upscale homeowners.
Since then, the company has grown into a healthy mid-sized firm, and its range of specialties has grown as well; references note that Reef Radio has risen to the challenge of being the only game in town by taking on extra tasks like computer networking and installing phone systems. It has also become adept at "hardening" systems to stand up to the unique environmental challenges that life on the Keys can present. References note that Reef Radio tends to develop strong bonds with clients, providing a 24/7 service policy and treating each project as though it was a close neighbor's. There is one caveat: cost. Reef Radio is not the cheapest firm out there, and it is accustomed to working on large, heavily integrated jobs; those with small projects or limited budgets may want to look elsewhere. However, for those with plans to bring their homes into the 21st century, especially for Keys residents, Reef Radio is highly recommended.
