Company Philosophy
"I have always had a great love for furniture and collectibles. I grew up in my parents' antique store in the South of France, very lucky to be surrounded by beautiful things as far back as I can remember. On every project I want to recreate a sense of time, and foresee, as far as I am able to, what pieces will be the antiques of tomorrow."

Pourny was discovered by John Saladino, "whose sense of classicism has never been surpassed." Saladino served as a true mentor to Pourny. "It was John who first gave me the chance to work on a large project that could really showcase what I could do."

Areas of Expertise / Recent Projects
-The recreation of a plantation house in Naples, Florida was a labor of love for Pourny. “Naples was where I had my first major projects fifteen years ago, so projects there always have a special interest to me.”

-Woodwork finishing of a French chateau on Oyster Bay
“This project was a real pleasure. The sense of authenticity we achieved made me so proud. There are few places like this in the country, and the home really pays homage to the legacy of this magical place."

-Ongoing Restoration and conservation work at Gracie Mansion and City Hall has been a passion for Pourny.
“I am so honored to know I have worked on such historical pieces.” Most notably, the desk of George Washington.

The Studio of Christophe Pourny is pleased to have an eclectic following ranging in clients from Benjamin Noriega Ortiz to Jamie Drake, having worked on pieces destined from Uma Thurman to The Pope.
