Continental offers washes, haircuts, blow-drys, color treatments, and styling for both men and women. Downstairs is a spa-like atmosphere where waxing, manicures and pedicures are available. If Continental’s sleek interior and choice of refreshments don’t put you at ease, the head and neck massage you’ll get with your hair-wash certainly will.
Continental was given a makeover about 5 years ago when Marc, a stylist who came from Frederic Fekkai NYC, joined their team and helped upgrade both the quality of the salon and its atmosphere. Located on the main drag in Bronxville, appointments are easy and convenient to your other errands. If you want the insider’s scoop on the different stylists: Marc is a true professional and understands how to give a cut that is flattering and appropriate to the customer. Patrick is a favorite amongst men for his clean, traditional cuts. Grace is excellent for waxing or nail services – she does painless waxing and is a great conversationalist, beloved by all Continental customers.
Though parking can be hard to find near Continental, the staff there makes things easy by willingly running out to put quarters in your meter. Customers might want to shy away from getting highlights at Continental, we’ve yet to discover a stylist who’s mastered how to effect natural highlights – we’ve heard more horror stories than success stories. Despite inconvenient parking and a poor record with coloring, Continental is among the best salons in Westchester County, providing luxurious yet efficient services at a reasonable price.
