FR Review:
Plates and Licenses' methods are somewhat unorthodox, but they remain the place where practically every Westchester teenager learns how to drive. Eddie, the endearingly rude instructor somehow manages to teach teens the rules of the road in between cell phone conversations for his Real Estate business. Eddy barks at you if you go a mile over the speed limit (once this happens once or twice, students learn to watch the speedometer) and teaches you to check in your rear view mirror frequently by randomly quizzing you on the color of the car behind you. Most importantly, he provides drivers with the golden ratio for parallel parking, a key to passing the road test. Eddy stresses the importance of coming to a full stop at stop signs and explains how quickly you can total your car if you tailgate - once you hear the story, you'll never tailgate again...
Though Eddie's methods are a bit quirky, students always pass the permit test and rarely forget Eddie's rules. The "Eddie" stories teens can laugh about with their families and friends are an added bonus.
