FR Review:
If you can't imagine someone being passionate about dry cleaning, then you haven't met John-Claude Hallak. Since taking over the family business in 1983, he has transformed the company into a full-service luxury cleaner. His 60+ staff expertly cleans largely designer label items and repeat customers praise the first-class service. In fact, John-Claude has been known to personally write to clients to apologize in the event that a garment takes longer to clean than was originally quoted.

Hallak uses a full arsenal of cleaning techniques, both traditional and those considered less toxic. The company picks up all garments free of charge, cleans them at a facility in Hackensack, then submits them to a ten-point inspection process before returning them to the customer, expertly packaged. When it comes to presentation, Hallak goes above and beyond: they keep a specialty packager on staff for ties and scarves alone. This is appreciated by the high-end clientele, which includes more than just a few models, designers and couture houses.

Pricing is high end but in line with other luxury cleaners. Dress shirt cleaning is between $8 and $26, depending on the method used, and suit cleaning starts at $54. A black silk cocktail dress cleaning starts at $70. Hallak is a first-rate cleaner when it comes to your designer suits, dresses and jackets, and a good choice for customers who are willing to pay more for presentation and hand-holding customer service.

Representative Client Comments:
"I've used Hallak exclusively for the past 10 years for both cleaning and alterations--they're excellent all around." "I send all of my dry cleaning and shirts to Hallak and they always come back in great condition and without any chemical smell." "I had Hallak clean my carpets and sofa after a Christmas party and they did such a great job." "Absolutely fantastic customer service." "Expensive, but worth every penny." "I wouldn't send my cheaper stuff, like jeans, to them as it wouldn't make sense from a price perspective." "I've recommended Hallak to countless people."

Project Description & Comments:
There is no question that they are as good as Madame Paulette at about half the cost for the same amazing quality. More expensive than my day-to-day dry cleaner, I use them for special items such as dresses with feathers and jewels. I totally trust them both on their dry cleaning skills and on price. And soo much nicer than Madame Paulette! A winner that you must have in your contact list.
        Cost of Project: $301 - 1,000
