In need of an unobtrusive eye to document a party or event? John Calabrese has photographed corporate and private events for over twenty years and knows how to work the floor. Women's Wear Daily and The Morgan Library & Museum have him on speed dial for evening functions, and he will also come to your home to capture special occasions, such as birthdays or debutante ball portraits. Clients appreciate his reliability, professional demeanor and ability to "get the shot."
Calabrese graduated from FIT with a degree in photography and has been working freelance since 1984. A Brooklyn-based photographer, his first gig ever was to photograph the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. Today, the ~100 private and public events he shoots each year take place primarily in Manhattan. His hourly rate starts at $250, which is reasonable given his experience and expertise. Calabrese also photographs portraits, products and weddings, but publicity and party events are his bread and butter, and the areas he's particularly commended in.
