Drawn to her clean, modern aesthetic, clients are gravitating to Tori Golub for "great design" that is also comfortable, reasonably priced, and functional. Supporters say Golub leans toward an edited style with a felicitous juxtaposition of period decor alongside more modern furnishings and unique character finds to give the look an edge. Sources tell us Golub generally favors muted hues, with shots of color. Although her designs are simple and clean, they are not cold, and they very much speak to the wishes of the client. Golub has been on the forefront of style for many years, first in the fashion business, then as a freelance stylist, and then with Andrew Frank in interior design. Many clients are young singles or young couples with families, who appreciate her sensible budgets and chic refinements.
Golub is said to have an open view on the clients' existing furnishings and to exhibit an excellent touch with thoughtful layouts, "creating the best possible result for a reasonable price." Clients remark that she is as equally talented in designing the "smallest detail as she is a large room divider." The firm charges standard design fees and reasonable product markups. A typical living room starts at $60,000 and is based on a detailed budget, after presenting several design alternatives.
