Talking with Dr. Levy is like being with your best friend. Only this friend has a world of first-hand psychological experience in the New York scene and outstanding professional perspective and judgment. Having raised three kids of her own in the most prestigious private schools in Manhattan and having successfully lived through the social pressures of the upper echelon, Levy can relate. Furthermore, she is the doctor of choice for these same most competitive schools and situations, being the official psychological consultant for the 92nd Street Y and on the short list of Chapin, Spence and Buckley. In addition, Levy has an active adult practice in couples therapy, reproductive infertility and self esteem issues.
Levy is a licensed clinical psychologist, with a full-time practice in the East 70s for the last 20 years. She graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Pennsylvania. After completing her Masters of Science and Masters of Philosophy degrees at Columbia, she then went on to earn her Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology also at Columbia. While her academic record speaks for itself, her clients speak for her efficacy, saying she is "warm, engaging" and "so very helpful." Levy is know for having specific goals for her clients and works together with them in partnership.
