FR Review:
The Abracadabra Superstore is a tad scruffy and has a "pervasive plastic smell," but the plethora of costumes and accessories on display makes for fun browsing, and they're sure to have just the cape, wig, gaping wound or vampire fangs you're looking for. The main level hosts accessories and knick-knacks, with prepackaged kids' costumes and an extensive wig collection in back. Downstairs is costume rental and purchase, offering up standards like a witch or a soldier, as well as the more distinct, such as Scarlett O'Hara's green velvet curtain ensemble. The construction and material quality is "middling," but better than what one would find in a packaged set.

The "experienced and quirky" staff is eager to assist or answer questions but can be "stretched thin" during busier times, and you may have to track someone down. Prices are higher than the decor and quality might suggest, yet considered "palatable" to those seeking no-nonsense or last-minute costumes. Rentals are typically between $95 and $200 for up to three days and may be purchased for approximately double the rental price. Wig and accessory prices are in line with what you'd find at chain stores. Those with a soft spot for magic should be sure to check out the magic trick counter, where the resident trickster is ready to delight with any number of demonstrations.

Representative Client Comments:
"My go-to shop for all things Halloween." "They're good about last-minute rentals and somewhat flexible about return dates." "The carpets are worn and there are a few shop cats running around, but it mostly adds to the charm of the place." "Tony in the wigs and makeup section is a hoot."
