FR Review:
The Right Staff is said to have the "right stuff" when it comes to domestic and corporate staffing needs. The high-end boutique caters to a "Fortune 500" clientele, filling primarily childcare, housekeeping and driver needs in and around New York, though they also scout executive staff and help for second homes in the Hamptons, Aspen and beyond. All of the searches are customized to clients' exact specifications, so if you're seeking a native Mandarin-speaking nanny who majored in Children's Studies and knows how to sail, then that's what Right Staff will set out to find. They understand the needs of "busy Manhattan families" and help "get your house in order."

Right Staff is said to attract some of the "highest-caliber service professionals" in the area. The firm does not post on job boards; its clientele and candidates are primarily derived through the firm's well-connected grapevine. Much of the candidate pool is college-educated and all must legally be allowed to work in the U.S. Any potential hires sent to interview with clients will have already undergone an in-person interview at Right Staff, a thorough background check and at least three references will have been called. The lead time is anywhere between a few weeks and a few months, depending on the client's criteria (native Mandarin-speaking nannies with BAs who sail are not, in fact, a dime a dozen).

Owners Jaime and Matt Hochhauser started the firm in 2005. The Hochhausers are native New Yorkers and parents with a firm understanding of household challenges, and Matt is able to draw on his time spent on Wall Street in assisting the firm's corporate clients. The 90-day grace period provides clients with a safety net: if for any reason the hired candidate doesn't work out within the first three months, a replacement will be found at no additional cost. Fees are sizeable, at between 15% and 20% of the hire's first year salary. But for those who want the best help and for whom "time is money," the fees are considered "more than fair."

Representative Client Comments:
"They always send great nannies--girls between 20 and 28 who are college educated but want to be a nanny for a few years." "I've had nothing but amazing experiences with them." "I've used them both personally and professionally--they always find the best candidates." "Probably not ideal for someone looking for a deal or to fill a minimum wage job, but absolutely a great choice for those who need to find quality help in a timely fashion."
