FR Review:
For anyone who has ever endured a lackluster massage, silently wishing that the masseuse would knead hard enough to "really get your aches out," there is Graceful Services. The multitude of massages offered here (Swedish, Shiatsu, Hot Stone, Thai, etc) are all praised for being "intense," "deep," and "effective." They are also considered one of the best deals in town. Prices are modest because decor is minimal and the pomp is non-existent: most tables are separated by just a curtain and don't even think about asking for an organic Chai latte while you wait. If, however, you are willing to forgo Enya and scented candles for an amazing massage at a great price, this is the place for you.
Grace Macnow and her daughter, Li Huang, opened Graceful Services in 2001. Both are NYS licensed Massage Therapists and Estheticians, and they are joined by a professional staff said to be "more consistent in quality" than many other spas. A 60-minute Deep Tissue massage costs as little as $60; $80 for a Hot Stone massage. Two additional locations (14th Street and 56th Street) offer slightly different services and packages, but operate under the same umbrella.
