Bond comes highly recommended by pet owners and animal trainers alike. They are lauded for exceptional customer service and care to pet and owner. The services that are covered include wellness care, diagnostic testing, dental care, surgery, oncology, avian and exotic medicine, and radioiodine therapy. There are three full-time vets on staff, and an exotic specialist on Saturdays that tends to everything from marsupials to monkeys to Mexican burrowing snakes. Many issues are cleared up over the phone according to grateful clients.
The firm is headed up by Dr. Douglas Aspros, DVM, a recognized leader in the veterinarian field. He was elected to the AVMA in 2000 which is the primary accreditation body for veterinary medical colleges worldwide. Joining him on Saturdays is Dr. Rober Moore who is the current staff veterinarian at the Wildlife Conservation Society's Bronx Zoo and is also a vet at NYC's Animal Medical Center in the Avian and Exotic Medicine.
The hospital is open Monday through Saturday, with a strong relationship with the Veterinary Emergency Group in nearby White Plains for after-hour issues. There is boarding for medical issues only with a grounds caretaker nearby. Loyal clients would not consider going elsewhere.
