FR Review:
Beloved by some of New York’s finest interior designers, Anthony Bazza Restorations has been serving the lighting fixture repair needs of New Yorkers since 1947. Bazza is no stranger to high-end clientele. He did work in the White House during the Kennedy Administration and is a staple with famed designers like Albert Hadley and Brian McCarthy (we hear he’s worked with “every interior decorator in New York City”). By all accounts, Bazza’s collection of glass and antique lamp parts is “intense and extensive.” The workshop can restore and repair almost any lighting fixture from the eighteenth to twenty-first century. Frequently, people bring candelabras and Bazza will convert them into electric light fixtures.

In 2008, Bazza sold his workshop to well-known furniture restorer and long-time friend, Joseph Biunno. Bazza, however, still comes to work and we hear the culture and quality of the shop haven’t changed. Prices are on an hourly basis and vary with the scope of the work. The staff always gives free estimates and only charges a deposit for larger projects (think: 25% upfront for a $2,000 job). Reportedly, complex projects can get rather expensive, but Bazza’s clients want the best. His client list says it all.

Representative Client Comments:
“Anthony Bazza has been an invaluable resource for me for over 25 years now, starting when I was first at Parish-Hadley.” “His extraordinary attention to detail and the magic he creates with beautiful carved wooden lamp bases, unique cast-bronze finials, and bees wax in the process of electrification is unequaled in NYC.”
