Why is CNR Group the first choice of many of the most prominent architects and celebrities? Simply because they get the job done with extreme attention-to-detail, effectiveness and pride. By harnessing its excellent 70-person, in-house workforce, especially in the current trade-drought, they can reliably plan and assure quality. CNR is well-versed in modern lines as well as the more classic, with strong endorsements from industry leaders such as the renowned architects Daniel Libeskind and Selldorf Architects, as well as Martha Stewart. Despite the company’s size, it will only take on a handful of large projects at a time, in order to maintain their personal approach and deliver clients’ dream houses.

Working mostly in Manhattan to the East End since 1994, principal Jesse Krzywon has been in the construction business for over 30 years. Clients report upon his strong capabilities and modest demeanor, noting that he mentions that there is still something to be learned in every new project. They also report that Krzywon makes himself readily available, and fosters the fine work of true artisans. CNR is able to take care of all rough finished carpentry, plaster, paint, tile and wood floor installation, some structural aspects in house and is partnered with a custom metal workshop.

CNR is able to take on a wide range of projects spanning from 1,500 to 15,000 SF, with average renovations in the 5,000 SF range. The company’s current backlog has projects ranging from $10-50 million with its Extended Client Services division handling smaller work for both old and new clients, such as a bathroom renovation or repainting a room. ECS also offers 24/7 live response time for any urgent client issues, and maintenance contracts to anticipate and prevent issues. While most projects are NY-based, they have also fielded second homes in glam Mustique and New England. The company works with both lump-sum as well as cost plus arrangements. Townhouse owners without building maintenance staff are particularly appreciative of CNR’s capabilities.

The firm is notably accustomed to demanding clients and will go above and beyond to “make it possible.” While it’s important to note that CNR is top end in quality, it is also top end in price. Its many long-term clients would not consider contacting anyone else.
