FR Review:
Elite designers dub the energetic John Zoric “a contractor with really good taste” and “a perfectionist with a big heart.” Zoric Construction specializes in apartment and brownstone rehabs and renovations where traditional woodwork, plaster and ornamental painting are most prominently on display–typically in New York’s tonier neighborhoods. The firm’s triple threat of diligence, courtesy and artistic touch delights its clients.

The man on the marquee, Zoric, earned an engineering degree in Europe before spending over twenty years in the building profession. Homeowners confess that they “relied on him more than on our architect for design ideas.” The small operation, in business since 1987, boasts its own woodworking shop. There are eight on staff, with subcontractors called in according to the job. Clients are particularly impressed by the fact that Zoric performs much of the trades work himself. In fact, customers are so smitten with Zoric, they’re “afraid to tell him how inexpensive he really is.” A broad range of prices for gut renovations goes from $200 to $400 per square foot, with complete costs at $250,000 to $2 million.

Representative Client Comments:
“John is an excellent contractor–we cannot speak highly enough about the quality of his work.” “His execution is awless.” “John delivered on everything he promised. He didn’t finish until we were happy with every detail. I would recommend him without reservation.” “John is a terrific problem solver and comes up with creative solutions. Those who work with him are well-trained, hardworking and respectful.” “Enormous attention to detail. As a perfectionist, his only weakness is he’s sometimes slow–but no slower than average and de nitely worth the wait.” “I’ve used John’s company through the years and he’s completed four home renovations, two office build-outs and numerous changes in both throughout the years.” “I’ve never checked a bill of John’s because he’s as honest as my mother.” “With Zoric you get quality craftsmanship at the most reasonable prices possible.”
