FR Review:
Noted for the elegant serenity of his interiors, Guy Blume receives positive reviews for making clients’ homes and minds at peace. Educated at Parson’s School of Design and Parson’s in Paris, Blume often goes out of his way to incorporate exotic antiques, especially Asian accents. Blume is a solo designer and opened his firm in 2009. He takes on three to five projects at once, sprinkling a few one room redoes in with his larger renovations. His work is primarily in Los Angeles, but he has gone as far as Colorado and Texas for clients. Noted for his ability to work with smaller budgets, Blume’s fees incorporate an average hourly and markup on fixtures and furnishings. People looking to create a tranquil and welcoming environment flock to Blume. Nothing wild or editorial in his designs, just functional, beautiful spaces.
Representative Client Comments:
"It is easy to sing Guy's praises. He is a pleasure to work with and has such an easy going temperament. As for his taste, he doesn't impose his "vision" but gives you what you want and doesn't stop until you get it. He patiently showed up with pile after pile of fabric samples until I found what I liked. He also has an original mind and comes up with great ideas." "He's helped me renovate a bathroom, re-cover couches, design a window seat and build a living room chair similar to one I'd found in a photograph. There is nothing he cannot do and I would use him again happily." “Guy really understood the space. He’s very easy to work with. I would hire him again in a second.” “I love the color pallets he chose. I’m so pleased with the renovation.” “He worked really hard to get to know what we wanted and to incorporate that into the designs.”
