FR Review:
Casting off the negative connotations of the “panic room” moniker, Saferoom (American Saferoom Door) has spent the last 30-years helping clients create the “most impressive and effective” covert and aesthetically inconspicuous saferooms in the market. This solid, family-owned firm has an “incredible knowledge base, a wealth of experience and the state of the art products” to convert existing closets, offices, bathrooms or any other suitable room into a safe haven. Homeowners truly appreciate the vast array of safety features Saferoom offers – electromagnetic locks and keypad access, entry and bullet resistant doors and building materials, fire resistant composites, air filtration systems, power-assisted doors – without sacrificing your home’s unique aesthetic and style. Their products can be customized to accommodate any design sensibility while maintaining the highest level of security.

In addition to manufacturing all of the saferoom doors, windows, walls, floors and ceilings, Saferoom also offers consultation services where their specialized team will work alongside your architect, contractor and/or designer for your remodel or new construction. Saferoom also continually monitors all installed doors to ensure proper functioning for their client’s safety by offering routine scheduled maintenance plans and maintaining licensed and insured technicians to perform custom installations where applicable.

Helmed by the father and son team of Gary and Nick Paster, Saferoom takes on 5 to 6 in-depth projects and 15 to 30 smaller projects at a time. While their prices are not cheap - custom swing doors ranging from $4,500 to $40,000, and sliding/pocket doors from $20,000 to $80,000 – clients vehemently state, “can you really put a price tag on the safety of what you value most?” The company also offers a variety of custom, cost-friendly doors. When it comes to safety, security and peace of mind, Saferoom is a lock.
