FR Review:
A true New York firm, Hudson Green Craft is capable in the many styles and spaces cut into the city skyline. Whether the project is modern or traditional, a townhouse or an apartment renovation, the team’s hands-on approach and open, creative dialogue makes for fast, money-saving solutions. Using the same crews since day one, the firm has earned the trust of the city’s most judicious building managers, as well as clients who quickly become lifelong friends.

As a three year old firm, Hudson Green Craft has been fortunate enough to work with many of the same top architects and designers that were clients of the prestigious Uberto, where co-founder Chris Hughes served as Senior Project Manager for seventeen years. Partner Marc Schor, a numbers wizard and college friend of Hughes, completes this natural partnership, together offering clients easy access to principals who have both a knowledge of the craft and an eye on the details. Combined, clients call it “Uberto quality” at far more competitive prices.

Representative Client Comments:
"Methodical craftsmanship, good bedside manner, and numbers I trust - not the lowest or highest, but most realistic." "The kind of guys who are willing to lose thousands cleaning up a mess that isn't theirs, knowing their name is on the final product." "On site it's a dialogue between their crew and other subs. There's always mutual respect, and because of this everyone shows up on time and prepared. However, sometimes second chances are given when maybe they shouldn't be, but that's just their character." "Guys of their word." "They like to take their time to fully understand what they are undertaking. They'll get it right the first time but extra care takes extra long sometimes. Still, totally worth it for that level of perfection." "Always ready with a creative, innovative solution. I really valued their input on such a complex project."

Project Description & Comments:
I hired Chris Hughes from Hudson Green Craft in May 2023. Although the price was high, I assumed that it would come with excellent service and supervision. However, I was sadly disappointed. A job that was scheduled to take a generous 4 months, took 9 months. The only caveat placed on Hudson Green Craft was that they needed to use an electrician who could work on the existing Vantage lighting system, rather than Hudson Green’s regular subcontractor. Chris assured me he could do just that. Sadly, that proved not the be case. Hy Haddad from HD Tech, the electrician who was used, was problematic and delayed the job from the get-go. Contractors have responsibility for their subcontractors, but Chris relinquished control of both ordering the material and scheduling the job to Hy. Aside from the electrical problems, many other parts of the job, were not done with proper oversight or on schedule. I would not use this company again or would not recommend this company.
