Sources say this full-service firm, in business since the 70s, is quick to get a tech to the door, especially for existing customers. Its 30-person staff works primarily with downtown building management companies, but they’ll send out a two-man team for service jobs to anyone in Manhattan. Rates are reasonable for the quality, with a standard one-hour minimum charge. Some commend “polite mechanics” though others have had more mixed experiences (not unusual for a busy Manhattan plumber). Demar specializes in gas boiler installation/repair and sprinkler maintenance, but we’re told they’ll take on whatever’s necessary, day or night.
