FR Review:
After working as a furniture restorer on the West Coast and as an antique preservationist in Queens, Timothy Riordan started his highly respected furniture restoration business in 1983. His services include restoring, gilding, gold leafing, repairing and French polishing of fine antique furniture, mostly from the late 18th and early 19th century.
Riordan will work on site for minor repair and polishing, and for the work he does in his own workshop, Riordan will pick up and deliver your piece at no extra cost, as long as it will fit into his van. For larger pieces, he’ll recommend a trucking company–but that will be on your dime. All work is done on an hourly basis.
Riordan works mostly in Manhattan and sometimes in Westchester and Connecticut. He has an enviable background, having worked at Sotheby’s during the early years of its restoration program. Over the years, American, French and English antiques have become his areas of specialty.
Representative Client Comments:
“Knowledgeable and efficient.” “Will trust him with my most valuable pieces.”
