One of the largest locally owned pest control companies in New York, Knockout has been KOing household pests since 1975. Based in Uniondale, this firm offers helpful services for ridding homes of rodents, birds, animals and insects. They earn high marks in particular for their work on houses in the suburbs (especially in Nassau and Rockland Counties), though they have a robust presence in Manhattan as well. Sources point to the size of the firm as being a key advantage – they can respond to emergencies (on a 24/7 basis) faster than most other companies. Their technicians also earn praise for being “knowledgeable” and “respectful.”
Insiders note founder Arthur Katz’s commitment to the industry–he has served on the Board of Directors of the Long Island Pest Control Association and has been a past president of the New York State Pest Control Association. Katz is also noted for staying up with technological developments in the field. Continual up-to-date employee training is mandated and clients are educated in all areas of pest control.
