After 30 years, Harvey and Maureen Berkowitz of Soft Touch Interiors still have the exuberance and patience to deal with a varied clientele. Specializing in slipcovers, Harvey arrives in your home, fabric in hand, knees padded, pins on magnet and very large scissors in his back pocket, ready to work his magic. (He will cover just about anything). We hear that ideas and concepts are thoroughly discussed and approved before even one stitch is sewn. Maureen oversees her husband's endeavors and also designs draperies, bedspreads and other soft treatments, such as lampshades. In one project she draped an outdoor gazebo that appeared on HGTV.
