FR Review:
Clients throughout Manhattan agree: Maggy Geiger is not only creative, but also collaborative. Since 1975, Geiger has been offering clients suggestions that are “right on the mark” while “never imposing her view.” Trained at the world-renowned Wave Hill gardens in the Bronx, Geiger has designed and installed gardens and greenery for a variety of elite clients, including the Carlyle Hotel and the late Richard Avedon. But prospective clients shouldn’t be intimidated by Geiger’s pedigree and work history; she doesn’t restrict herself to big-name gardens.
As her firm’s modest name indicates, Geiger will handle small projects, but her work varies in scope. She may do a set of front door planters, or an extensive rooftop or terrace garden. We’re told that Geiger also handles indoor plantscapes and oral arrangements. Geiger and her team take on around twenty new projects annually. The firm charges per project and is expensive, but sources say that Geiger and Co. always work within budget. Geiger’s designs have been featured in The New York Times, New York and House & Garden.
Representative Client Comments:
“Maggy is imaginative, reliable, collegial and very service-oriented.” “She has turned a moderate-sized New York roof garden into an informal paradise.” “Our building management has gotten calls from neighbors who can see our terrace and want to know who the landscaper is.”
