Terry Atkin has a supportive group of clients who appreciate her architectural expertise and her hands-on management style. Best known for her detailed work on Manhattan's prewar buildings, Atkin can successfully combine the bones of these older edifices with the clients' more modern interests and cleaner surfaces. Though she leans toward the traditional, Atkin is adept at personalizing each project with a vernacular feel.
Atkin is a sole practitioner of this twenty-five-year-old firm and holds architecture degrees from the universities of Virginia and Pennsylvania. The vast majority of Atkin's work is residential and most projects take place in Manhattan. Atkin has extensive experience with duplex renovations in some of the city's most exclusive neighborhoods.
