FR Review:
When we spoke to the principal of Sandy’s, he was in the midst of a nine-bathroom installation for a TV star, but his technicians were out fixing leaky faucets. This old-fashioned father-and-son company has built its reputation on taking both large and small jobs alike. The fifteen-strong team serves commercial and residential clients throughout Manhattan, including some of the city’s fi nest restaurants and management agencies. We hear the staff at Sandy’s is friendly and informative. While they “definitely know what they are doing,” some sources report late crewmen. Free estimates are given for major jobs, while minor ones are handed to a two-man team and charged at a “reasonable” hourly fee. Sandy’s does offer after-hours and weekend service, though at a slightly increased cost.
