Clodagh is known for her innovative use of form, lighting, and harmonizing materials to create life-enriching environments. To this designer, a job is complete only if it involves all of the senses and the elements. This often translates into the use of natural, low-maintenance, and environmentally friendly materials. Her young and spirited team takes great care to understand clients' interests, a process that can include lively discussions of energy fields or astrological signs. Clients also appreciate Clodagh's strong ties to many local artisans worldwide.
Clodagh began her career as a highly successful fashion designer in her native Ireland. Moving to Spain and finally New York City, she shifted her focus to architectural and interior design, opening a New York City firm in 1983. Residential projects include smaller Chelsea lofts and larger uptown penthouses. Recently she has expanded into landscape architecture, commercial projects, lighting design, furniture, and textiles. Past clients include Robert Redford and Mo Vaughn.
