FR Review:
Since 1971, Lennie Construction has built and renovated high-end residences for esteemed New Yorkers. The firm's client list includes many A-Level decorators and architects - it is entrusted by Manhattan's top talents to execute a range of designs, from traditional to ultramodern minimalism. Lennie Construction is lauded by sources as "solution oriented," and "the kind of company that takes initiative." The firm is also noted as technically skilled, and capable of pulling off complicated work with or without subs - particular specialties include architectural metalwork, millwork, plaster moldings, and specialty staircases.
LCC was founded by the late Michaelangelo Leone and is now helmed by his son Leonardo Leone. Sources say this firm sticks to projects through thick and thin. The staff of 35 tackles roughly ten to fifteen projects at a time, most in Manhattan, with gut renovations being a specialty. Budgets range upwards of $7 million, with few projects falling below a $500k floor. It is certainly not our cheapest contractor, but given the quality and scope of projects the firm is capable of taking on, many are happy to pay the price.
Representative Client Comments:
"The quality is there and it looks great." "Always on time! The one contractor in NY who does what they say they will!" "They did some metalwork in house, it was wonderful." "Very accessible." "Creative thinkers - they can do what decorators are looking for." "Other contractors cross their arms and up their budgets. Lennie was very proactive about finding solutions that made sense for the price tag."
