The sharp, staccato name of this firm perfectly captures the arresting aesthetic of its architecture. Krueck & Sexton's innovative work has been internationally acclaimed, and it remains one of Chicago's most respected architectural firms. The company engages in a broad array of architectural challenges, from commercial to institutional, and residential "urban work" that consists of both new construction and renovation. It is also a noted designer of furniture.
The firm was founded in 1979 by Ronald Krueck, and Mark Sexton came aboard the following year. Krueck and Sexton's aesthetic is uniquely modern, cultivated by a tradition of challenging assumptions and rethinking conventional methods, all the while focusing exclusively on client aspirations and values, we're told. Rigorous design research is always part of the process. Krueck & Sexton works in complex state-of-the-art building components such as metals and glass, producing a collage of solids and transparencies, color and light, form and texture, all in dizzying layers of clean and simple planes that clients say is truly inspired.

Fees vary based on the scope of the project. For large projects clients will typically pay a standard percentage of the total cost of construction. If the scope is small or unclear, hourly rates apply.
